GPS or Global Positioning system is the one of the greatest technology ever made in the century. This is a satellite navigation system made up of twenty-four satellites placed in orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense. Though it is made for government purposes but later on in the 80′s civilians were allowed to use the system.

By this time GPS are used by vehicles in all areas in the United States. A very big help for people who get lost most of the time. Everyone from fishermen, to hikers or any back packers and to people on their daily jobs. It keeps you on track of the path where you want to go to. A very big help indeed. portable gps.

Portable GPS are invented recently for easy use. And more and more people are getting the attention and importance of it’s usage. There are several GPS in the market available such as portable gps which my dad also uses. He said it’s works for him. He likes it.

I will definitely buy one when I will have a car of my own. Though I am not a hiker but I will recommend this to my friends who do love to go to mountains. So that all of us can save our time and less worries to destinations we are not so familiar with. Just be aware of any imitations to this since there are more and more people these days who are so genius enough to make like one and sells in a cheaper price. Be sure you will buy it from a known manufacturer and produces good quality.

And just like what we have seen in t.v. shows where some GPS are used for bad purpose where others could gain access to it. I hope it is not real and just all for the show.
