Do not use slang in an email if you are sending to a business professional or to a customer. Do use proper English, good grammar, and proper punctuation. Do not put the message in one big clump. Separate it into paragraphs so it will be easier to read.

A big “do not” is send spam emails. They will be deleted. If you want to send a promotional email about a product you have for sale, a service you are offering, or anything of that nature, join a safe lists. These people expect to receive a lot of mail on various subjects. Doing it this way ensures that a person receiving it may read the email.

Do make sure that you have the correct email address so that the email will not be returned to your in box marked delivery failed.
